Why your grant matters

  • Leadership that lasts

Our cohorts give young Ukrainian women mentors, training and a network that keep working long after the program ends.

  • Grants we can plan with

DAF grants, especially recurring ones, let us commit to the next cohort instead of fundraising month to month.

  • Ukraine's recovery, led locally

Our mentees launch projects in their own communities — volunteering, education, civic initiatives — where the need is greatest.

Find us with your DAF sponsor

See Forward Ukraine can receive grants from these sponsors, among others:

  • Fidelity Charitable
  • Vanguard Charitable
  • National Philanthropic Trust
  • DAFgiving360 (Charles Schwab)
  • Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund
  • Benevity

If you give through another sponsor, you can still recommend a grant — use the details above.

Give in three steps

  1. Log in to your DAF account

Search for See Forward Ukraine, or for our EIN 88-1228984.

  2. Not listed?

Ask your DAF sponsor to add us — they only need our legal name and EIN.

  3. Recommend your grant

Choose the amount, whether it repeats and, if you like, a note such as "Mentorship program". Your sponsor reviews it and sends the grant to us.

A tax-smart way to give

Many donors fund their DAF with appreciated assets — stocks, mutual funds or other securities — rather than cash. The sponsor sells them inside the fund, and you can then recommend a grant to us from the proceeds. Ask your financial or tax advisor what this means for your situation.

Where your grant goes

We publish our IRS Form 990 every year, so you can review our finances before you give.

Frequently asked questions

What is a donor-advised fund?

A charitable giving account held at a sponsoring organization. You contribute to it, receive your tax deduction when you do, and later recommend grants from it to the charities you choose.

Can I recommend a grant to a charity that works in Ukraine?

Yes. See Forward Ukraine Inc. is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity, so DAF sponsors can make grants to us like to any other U.S. charity.

Is my grant tax-deductible?

Your deduction comes when you contribute to your donor-advised fund, not when the fund makes the grant. Your sponsor sends you the receipt for your contribution.

Will you know who the grant is from?

Only if you choose to share it. Most sponsors let you share your name and address with us or give anonymously.

Can I set up a recurring grant?

Yes, most sponsors let you schedule grants monthly, quarterly or yearly. Recurring grants help us plan each new cohort.

How long does it take for the grant to arrive?

It depends on your sponsor; most process recommended grants within a few business days to a few weeks.

Turn your donor-advised fund into lasting support for Ukraine's next leaders.
